Style Profile: Alli Seney

Colorful, Eclectic, Flowy, & Funky!

Acopio: Tell us a little bit about yourself: What do you do? What’s important to you? What do you love?

Alli: I’m a new mother, wife, singer/songwriter, teacher/music therapist, with a love of life and nature. I work to truthfully and positively represent myself in everyday life movements, whether it’s my music, motherhood, or just being.

How would you describe your personal style?

Colorful, Eclectic, Flowy, and Funky!

Has becoming a mother to Alton changed anything about your style?

I love being a mom, it’s the most incredible, creative journey I have ever been on. My daughter is pure magic! It’s honestly been the greatest achievement and the most rewarding thing I have experienced!

But yes! Motherhood has changed my style, in a good way! You have to get creative at times when you are nursing your little one and also chasing them around. So wearing comfy, flowy dresses, scarves, and breastfeeding accessible outfits is key! The first year of motherhood your body is in such a transitional state, so you have to kind of just go with the flow and know that maybe something pre-baby may take some time to fit into again. Always room for new items in your wardrobe! Haha…

What would you say is the biggest influence on the way your present yourself? Do you have an icon or do you keep your look more individualized?

Cool question. I dress myself everyday as if I’d be performing a gig. My closet is so diverse and colorful that everyday becomes a fashion show to represent my inner artist! I’d say my style is boho chic but very individualized.

Go to fashion rule or styling trick?

Always mix patterns and prints! And don’t be afraid to rock something stylistically! Currently obsessed with rompers and head scarves, they are functional and add depth to any outfit!

One thing in your closet you could not live without?

My Rolling Stones dress that is a tee with sheer flowing floor length skirt! Sexy, funky, fun, and comfy.

Summer essentials?

Head wraps/scarves and big sunglasses! Also kimonos and dresses with pockets! So key for mamas… Always in need of pockets!

What role, if any, has Acopio played in your personal style?

Acopio has certainly had a grand effect on my style and wardrobe. Most of my gigging attire is from Acopio and I am always complimented on it! I love the goods from Acopio because they are full of life and make a statement. And they’re unique, like me!

Do you have any grains of wisdom; on life, motherhood, music?

Trust the voice from within. Never be afraid to be who you truly are, share that beauty with all those around you and be the light. I feel like all those thoughts apply to my daily mantra for motherhood, music, and life.
